Poor Scott. He hasn't taken Jean's death well. He's getting visions and other things. He's even rode up to Alkali Lake to try and mourn. Hearing the voices once more, he takes his sunglasses off and blasts the river with his eyes. This creates a large whirlpool and out pops Jean Grey, resurrected.
Naturally if you saw someone you thought was dead re-emerge in a tornado, you'd be more than a little happy and little shocked. As they speak for the first time, Jean asks to kiss him with his glasses off. Natrually, Cyclops at first declines. She states she can control his beam. This might not go well...
He takes the glasses off and we see the red lasers in his eyes disappear. For the first time in the trilogy, we see his real eyes. They then passionately kiss. Awww...ewwww! Veins are popping out his checks! That's not right! Unfortunately, we don't get to see what happens next. Dang.
A few minutes later, Storm and Wolverine investigate the scene. Various items are floating in the air. A few rocks and stuff like that... And Cyclops' specs. Gulp. That's not a good sign. Strangely, there's no body to be seen.
Even further on, when Jean wakes up, Wolverine quizzes her on the glasses. She comes under great stress and suddenly the glasses disintergrate. I'm kinda guessing from that less than subtle shot that he might have been disintegrated from that, but I'm not 100% on that. Mostly because I like people who can fire laser beams from their eyeballs, and I'm hoping he may return. But that's just a little unlikely.
Comments:
I might say that this was little ironic. He goes to mourn a death of someone who returns and kills him. Fits my idea or irony.
