Professor X is confronting Jean in hear house. He is suggesting that she should be taken back to control her abilities. Magneto is not helping Xavier's cause by saying she should be free. Jean obviously agrees with Magneto's sentiments because a battle of the pyschics begins. One of the first moves being Jean flinging Magneto into the next door kitchen.

The battle of the minds continues, and Xavier is clearly losing. She starts to get really intense and the starts lifting Professor X out of his wheelchair. She's so powerful that she's raising the house and most of it's contents, including Wolverine, who is fighting next door and is stuck against the ceiling. Using his claws, he begins to crawl across the ceiling to the pyschic battle.

Xavier is telling Jean to stop, but she keeps going as flesh peels away from his fingers. Wolverine opens the closed doors to look on to the battle. It is at this moment, Xavier turns to Wolverine and gives him a knowing smile... Before exploding into ashes right before Wolverine's eyes. Magneto, waking up at this point, watches in horror as his old friend is literally reduced to nothing. But wait, there's more...

After the end credits, a comatose man awakes. The nurse asks "Charles?" Yep, he has transferred his spirit into another body, just like he was talking to his class. So the end of one Xavier, is the beginning of the other...
