Toad is another of Magneto's henchmen in the Brotherhood of Mutants who meets his end, like most of the villains, at Liberty Island. Fighting off the X-Men with considerable success, almost suffocating Jean Grey with his sticky saliva and beating up Storm considerably, he is the first of the Brotherhood to be defeated.
After kicking Storm down an elevator shaft and letting the door close behind her, Toad is distracted watching Cyclops get the slime off of Jean's mouth so that she can breathe again. Storm then bursts up out of the elevator shaft, levitating on wind, with lightning flickering around her. "Don't you people ever die?!" are the last words Toad speaks, with the gusts of wind Storm is creating being too much for him, as debris flying past hits him and loosens his grip on the ground, making him fly out the window and off of the balcony behind him.
Using his long tongue, he grabs the balcony's edge just before sailing off into the sea, but Storm is approaching him and about to deliver the last blow. "Do you know what happens to a Toad when it gets struck by lightning?" Storm clouds gather above and thunder sounds out. "The same thing that happens to everything else..."
With that, Toad's tongue is struck by a bolt of lightning, which causing him to let go and fall screaming into the far off waters. While it is possible Toad could survive the water (Toads ARE amphibious, after all...), it is doubtful that he survived the lightning.
Luckily for us Toad fans, he got a cameo in X-Men 3; The Last Stand. He can be seen for about five seconds climbing the wall of the abandoned church at the Morlock/Brotherhood meeting.
It's CGI, yeah, and it's short...but hey. I'm just glad he didn't die with such a crappy send off line. 'What happens to a toad when it's struck by lightning...?' I really hope he comes back and has some wicked revenge.
No. That's another mutant with Toad's abilities. Said mutant also gets shot with the cure, if I recall, so even if it was Toad, it's unlikely he'll come back for more.
What do you call Toad's power anyway??
The mutant in X3 appears to have Toad's wall climbing abilities.
I guess Toad's ability is he's got the abilities of a toad. He has a tonuge to catch prey, he can climb up walls and spit slime into someone's face.
I was reseaching X-men and found out that toad was suppost to have fight scene with nightcrawler in X-2 but it cut from the movie.
I'd like to see your evidence.
Several sets for the film were not used. Some of these sets included the Danger Room and several areas in Stryker's underground bunker. One room in Stryker's underground base was going to be the setting of a Nightcrawler vs. Toad fight.
And don't be such a grammer perfectionist, we're all only human!
It should, however, be noted that IMDb can be unreliable at times. So I'd take with a pinch of salt.
Sorry about being snippy there, I was a bit frustrated. At least he didn't do my pet peeve of 'writ' instead of 'wrote'.
If you want some really coolactor deaths in a movie go to www.geocities.com/cinemorgue.htlm
Yeah, someone mentioned that site before, we're like that, except smaller and more detailed.
Yeah, we rock!
Yeah, someone mentioned that site before, we're like that, except smaller and more detailed.
That would be me. And yes, I contribute to both.
just go to a movie scripts website and look up the x-men two draft, he was supposed to be in X2 and have a fight scene with nightcrawler. during the fight, Toad is makes a bunch of cages that contain kids in it start to fall and nightcrawler keeps teleporting in and out to save them, then Nightcrawler teleports toad into one of the falling cages and bails on him. Unfortunately Ray Park was scheduled to be filming iron fist, so he could not film the scene.

there is the evidence.
They did a pretty good job of writing him out. Cheers for that!
BTW, the character in X-Men: The Last Stand, who appears to be Toad but isn't, is called 'Lizard Man' in the credits. (and don't worry, I wrote a review and took screecaps of him too)
