Carly, along with Chris and Jesse, is climbing the trees to get away from the mountain men who are hunting them down. Chris and Jesse slowly walk across a branch to reach the other side. Carly tries to do this to but almost falls and, for safety, she clambers back to the tree behind her.

As she catches her breath for a moment, she does not realise one of the mountain men is sneaking up on her. Jesse screams her name and Carly looks to her left just in time to see Three Finger plant his axe across her mouth.

She dies instantly, her pupils dilate and the lower half of her body falls to the ground below, with the top half of her head still sitting on top of the axe.

Now that I've seen this I must say I'm greatly disappointed by the film and the death. I kept hoping Carly would at least get some form of vengeance after fussing through the entire last half-hour about the loss of her boyfriend (husband?). Instead, she just dies, and it's a damn bland death too!

Misreading the review, I expected it to be like "Cliffhanger mixed with The Hills have Eyes", I was insanely bored seeing the poorly utilized forest setting.

I agree that i thought Carly should have avenged her murdered husband but she didnt but personally i think she was in no condition to get revenge because i think the death of her husband pushed her over the edge of her sanity and if not for the help of Jessie and Chris she would have been killed long before she actually did.
