In the Warriors, the representatives of the titular gang find their most common method of transportation to be, obviously, the subway train.

However, cops are swarming everywhere tonight. This includes one of the major stations on their stop. The train has stalled, and the cops ambush the Warriors. The Warriors run, splitting up into several groups. The Fox winds up with Mercy, a girl they'd picked up along the way. Separated from the others, they run down the subway platform, only to be caught unaware by a cop, hiding behind a pillar.

The cop, who is rather well built in comparison, tackles the Fox to the ground, but the Fox counters, almost coming out on top. Very obviously a stunt double at this point, The Fox turns his face away from the camera and yells at Mercy to "Run! Get outta here!".

The cop grabs The Fox and they start grappling again. A quick zoom-out shows the length of the platform, and a train pulling in.

You don't need to be Nostradamus to see where this is heading.....

The Fox and the cop nearly go over the edge of the platform a few times, but the Cop finally rolls them to the end of the platform, bucking Fox down onto it. The low camera angle shows the Fox disappear behind the platform as the train's light illuminates the area, and proceeds to crush the Fox.

The depiction of Fox's death was very powerful and did what it should've: it makes the audience angry and sad at the same time, evoking the kind of emotion only a worthy character can. It makes the audience feel for the plight of the Warriors, and pulls the audience deep into the situation.
