Jacko is a member of the Texas Rose's crew. He was one of the four crew members to be taken to Atlantis by the giant octopus. He is an abject coward, and constantly says he has a mortal fear of pretty much everything. He also fits the coward stereotype by being the person who consistently brings up the rear of the group.
His demise comes during a grand escape of the slaves from Atlantis, while two Zaargs are attacking it. Slave girl Delphine leads a group back to where their lost diving bell is. On the way though, they have to get past the Mogdaan - a giant, fish-like monster, which lives in a pool of muddy water.

The group somehow fail to see the actor in the latex suit pretending to be a Mogdaan
A couple of slaves, Greg and Charles, shoot at the Mogdaan with rifles, and it dives back underwater. Thinking they have scared it off, they signal for the others to come along. However, the Mogdaan suddenly resurfaces and attacks. It goes after Jacko because he is such a slowpoke, and despite everyone's best efforts to help him, Jacko manages to just sit there and get himself eaten.

Since "Devoured" became a category, I believe that this would count.
this should count as "Animal" not "Monster"!
I don't believe that a "Mogdaan" occurs in normal nature.
Edit: SEE! the spell-check doesn't recognize it!
"They are not creatures of your world. They are mutations." - Atlantean bigwig Atmir, on the Mogdaan and a couple of the film's other monsters.
Yeah, being a mutant alien fish thing from Mars (according to this film, Atlantis was founded by Martians), that is apparently one-of-a-kind, as Paul Victor's novelization would seem to suggest, definitely counts as a monster and not an animal in my book.
did any of the other heroes mange to get out of Atlantis?
