Deel has escaped from prison, and decides to hide away from the law on his brother's remote farm. John, Deel's brother, is a widower and welcomes the "help" Deel offers. Things turn more sinister when Deel finds the gold coins his father stole from a museum years earlier. The brothers fight over the coins, and Deel ends up killing his brother.

John's children, Chris and Tim, witness their father's murder, and run from the house taking the coins with them. At this point the film turns into an elaborate chase.

Deel eventually catches up with Chris, and Chris jumps in the river, throwing the coins into the water. Deel wades into the water, and begins to strangle Chris and push him under the water hoping to drown him.

In his haste though, he has forgotten that on his belt is the knife he used to kill John. Deel looks like he really hates what is happening and walks away. The audience then realise that the knife has been stabbed into his gut, having been taken out of his belt by Chris.
