Richter is rightly upset that for a few weeks now, Douglas Quaid, an unwitting mole designed to root out the rebel underground, has been boning his wife.

No wonder then when the fighting ensues, Richter wants Quaid dead. The fight takes place on an ascending elevator. Tit for tat punches result in Richter being thrown over the side of the elevator. Clinging on to Quaid’s arms, Richter’s aim is to try and drag Quaid with him. The camera then pans up to show the audience that the lift is approaching a cut off. Quaid and Richter see this at the same time. To avoid being decapitated, Quaid lifts Richter partly in to the elevator.

Net result - Richter's arms, which Quaid is holding, become detached from his body and he falls into the abyss below.
Quaid, tossing the arms over the edge says "see you at the party Richter", parodying the line Richter said to him earlier in the film.
off with your..........arms? huh?
Really ''dis-arming'',no?
these are just 'armless comments!!
Didn't he know he'd need an ARMy to take down Quaid?!
Boy, that sounded asinine, anyway, what about "Former Friends"? "Machinery"? "Crushed"? (Maybe not, but the lift would have come down eventually.)
I nominate this as "One on One" as they fight for a bit on the elevator.
Also, Richter wasn't decapitated.
This guy seems harmless. *snickers*
That was cool and funny!
