To follow a maxim from Galaxy Quest: any character who is not given a surname is a certainty to be dead before the final credits roll...
Helm is Richter's (q.v.) henchman, and has tracked Quaid to the mutant bar. When Richter orders all of the barflies to be killed, a riot breaks out. Tony, a mutant friend of Quaid's, manages to grab Helm, who is horrified to see a midget charge at him with a rather large knife.
Helm's death is standard fare; stabbed. But considering the midget is 3ft tall and he is 6ft tall, the entry point of the knife is enough to make most men's eyes water.

Helm's death was longer before the film was trimmed to avoid an X rating. Originally, Helm was supposed to be gutted from crotch to sternum, but that was removed, and creates a continuity error, according to the IMDB:
Continuity: During the fight at "The Last Resort", Thumbelina stabs the goon with glasses in the stomach. When the camera pans out, the knife and blood are coming out of his chest (originally, the goon was supposed to be gutted from crotch to sternum, but was edited out for the R-Rating).
If any of you own an issue of Fangoria from around the time of the film's release, they included a few stills of this in that issue.
I love that. The IMDB mentions Thumbelina by name, but poor Helm is just "the goon with glasses."
