The Martian underground movement is in full retreat when Benny (q.v.), Quaid, Melina and George (a mutant who is also the rebel leader, Kuato) manage to isolate themselves in an airlock.

Unbeknownst to the rest of the party, Benny is double agent. He turns the gun on George and fires a few rounds into him. Despite George being dead, Kuato is still momentarily alive. Kuato manages to tell Quaid to "start the reaction" before Richter comes in and shoots him in the head.

The best moment of this whole episode has to be when a disgruntled Quaid asks Benny why he has betrayed his own kind.

Benny: I have four kids to feed
Quaid: what happened to the fifth?
Benny: ahhh s$@t! ya got me, i ain't even married.

well, that clears that up then.....

Couple of things wrong with this writeup.

He tells Quaid to "start the REACTOR...free Mars" before Richter pops him. Not the reaction.

Quaid says "So what happened to number five??" not "fifth".

Sorry, minor things...but figured if it's worth doin', it's worth doin' right.
