Kindly submitted by man in the universe

After disposing of Elliot Carver (q.v.), Bond moves to the cruise missile aimed for Beijing, in an attempt to try and diffuse it. However, Bond has forgotten about Mr. Stamper, Carver's buff right-hand man.

Stamper has Wai Lin tied up with a chain on the stealth boat's inner deck, and is about to release the chain and drown her. Wai Lin throws some small device to Bond that will detonate the missile as it launches. Stamper then sends Wai Lin down into the ocean, and moves in to confront Bond.

Bond is able to get the equipment on the back of the missile just before Stamper jumps in and starts knocking Bond around like a rag doll. He pulls out a knife and jabs it into Stamper's arm and chest, which hardly seems to faze him. Bond, increasingly desperate, releases a weight on Stamper's leg, which gets pinned, and is now only able to use his arms.

Stamper grabs Bond and pulls him over the side of the launching system, holding him by his vest. 007 tries to unzip his vest, but to no avail. Bond looks up, and with some quick thinking, pulls the knife from Stamper's chest and cuts himself free, falling into the water as he does so.

As ever, Bond's timing is impeccable because no sooner has he hit the water, when the missile detonates. To ensure that the baddie is vanquished though, the audience is treated to a fleeting glimpse of Stamper looking back at the missile in horror before it explodes and obliterates him.

wouldn't this count as "own weapon" and "explosion"?

Those two categories are exactly what I put. The guy in charge of this site changed it for some reason.

yes, i am not sure why explosion was not included - a slight oversight on my part - it has been amended.

However, i don't agree with is an "own weapon" category, you could argue the missile belonged to Carver, even more importantly though is that "own weapon" has to be something you carry around with you and have most likely used to kill other people with throughout the film.

i suspect that Bond still needs to kill Stamper in order to conclude the film.

lol, I learned that the "weight" dropped on Stamper was actually the missile itself. Oops.

If you stab someone in the chest and their response is to laugh, I would be a bit more worried than Bond seemed to be smiling smiley
i suspect that Bond still needs to kill Stamper in order to conclude the film.
I agree... before he dropped Lin, Bond said that it's over and Stamper said, "Not between you and me."
