As the Titanic slowly disappears under the waves of the Atlantic, newfound lovers Jack and Rose seek sanctuary on a piece of driftwood.

Alas, for dramatic tension purposes, the only pieces of driftwood they can find are big enough for one person only. Jack does the decent thing and lets Rose get out of the water and rest on it, while he floats alongside her, still stuck in the freezing water.

They desperately wait for a boat to come and rescue them, but several hours pass and Rose has inadvertently fallen asleep. When she wakes, she looks at Jack and notices that the blue tinge on his lips is not a good sign. Sure enough, Jack's luck has run out and he has frozen to death in the briny - still, he did get to pork Kate Winslet, so it was not a complete loss for him...

all because the girl didn't let him on the big door.

Drowned? Jack is submerged after his death by falling into the deep (which counts). Ouch.
Comment 3 by 'old bluffer' (reply to this comment)
He's not drowned, as he's long dead by the time he sinks. 'Drowned' is sometimes added if someone is shot and then falls into water (there is a possibility they are still conscious), but too much time has passed in Jack's case.
Comment 4 by 'commanderblue' (reply to this comment)
Yikes, you know how freaky that would be if you were conscious and sinking to the bottom? O_O
Comment 5 by 'Matt' (reply to this comment)
Yeah, but at least you have the compensation of being long dead before you reach the bottom.

However, that's down to the crushing pressure... Like I said, ouch.

Apparently you've never seen THIS? Cheating Death much?
Comment 7 by 'Matt' (reply to this comment)
Cripes, that is funny. But using the warming liquid goo phase from Austin Powers?

Here's what I recognized: Con Air, Demolition Man, Titanic, The Abyss, Hulk, Catch Me If You Can, Romeo + Juliet, The Basketball Diaries.
Comment 8 by 'Mr. Briggs Inc.' (reply to this comment)
.......yes, so? sad smiley
Comment 9 by 'Matt' (reply to this comment)
It's odd, he seems to be doing an attempt to do it serious (debatably), but that scene seems so... out of place.

We are talking about a parody trailer, mind, so it's pointless to argue...

o.m.f.g Leos well fit
Comment 11 by 'Lestat' (reply to this comment)
Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful. He died so that Rose can live on and have his child (she found out she was pregnant after bein rescued). She then married a bloke, had his kids and died with Jack on her mind and the Heart of the Ocean back where it belonged... down on the Ocean floor with the love of her life.

The Reason Rose Didn't Let Him On The " Big Door " As You Say,
Which Wasn't A Door It Was A Bed Headboard,
Well You See It Would Only Hold One Person.
He Tried To Get On But It Almost Tipped.
And Her Life Was The Greatest Treasure He Had Found And
He Wanted Her To Live Forever Even If Without Him.
