Fiona Volpe is a cold blooded villain working for Emilio Largo (q.v.). After seducing Bond, follwed by a night of passion, she reveals her true identity to him, but is disappointed to find it was no surprise to our lothario. Holding him at gun point, she escorts Bond to a car, with the help of some cronies. Bond manages to escape from the car during the local Mardi Gras festival, although he does get shot in the leg.

With the help of the [very bright red] blood stains on the road, the group begin to track Bond, and manage to catch up with him at the Kiss Kiss Club, where Fiona and Bond dance.

The group are at a loss to find Bond, until they discover he is bleeding flourescent blood

While this is going on, Vargas sneaks off to find a quiet place to shoot Bond. Bond notices the barrel sticking out of the curtains in the nick of time and with a deft spin, uses Fiona as a shield, and she gets gunned down by Vargas.

Fiona finds this second penetration less satisfying than the one last night

Casually placing Fiona on a chair next to an elderly couple, Bond says, "do you mind if my friends sits here for a while? she is just dead..". Who could say no after a statement like that?

Bond coolly dumps Fiona

does this death count as "Offscreen Killer"?
Comment 2 by 'Mr. Briggs inc' (reply to this comment)
Off topic perhaps, but shouldn't there be a category for offscreen death as well?
Comment 3 by 'purpleheart_2003' (reply to this comment)
"she's JUST dead" said Bond!

All three comments deserve attention, please.

I think it needs to be said, that this woman is absolutely spectacularly beautiful in this movie. Admittedly, I do have a "thing" for Redheads, but she is perfection in itself! A classically beautiful woman.

My favourite scene of this film, is Bond finding her in the bath. When she asks him to hand her something to wear, he passes he slippers! Classic Bond!
Comment 6 by 'AAlcott' (reply to this comment)
Shouldn't this be accidental? I mean, Vargas wasn't aiming to shoot her.
Comment 7 by 'hotty22' (reply to this comment)
was it really accidental? I'm in doubt
it looked a bit that Bond was leading this tricky beast to her own
execution. I would call it the "Dance of Death"
Comment 8 by 'Matt' (reply to this comment)
It's 'Accidental' because the assassin wasn't intending to take out one of his associates.
Off topic perhaps, but shouldn't there be a category for offscreen death as well?
in the German synchronisation the dialog is a bit more sarcastic because it was translated not 1 to 1 from the original

Bond asks;
Does it mind you when I place my girlfriend here?
She will not annoy you because she's even dead.
Comment 10 by 'Matt' (reply to this comment)
That's not as bad as when the Japanese translated the title of "You Only Live Twice" to "007 Dies Twice". (!)

And what does Briggsy's quote have to do with it?

And what does Briggsy's quote have to do with it?
nothing I'm sorry, just pressed the wrong button

Yay, favourite bond film!! Also Id say Bond killed her by throwing her in front of the bullet with supersonic speed.
Comment 13 by 'Kooshmeister' (reply to this comment)
Well even if he put her in the path of the bullet it was still Vargas who fired it.
