After all the horrible things Shawn had subjected Tamara to right down to his cruel, sick practical joke he devised to publically humiliate her, being directly responsible for her murder followed by covering it up with threats and misleading evidence that he'd frame it on Tamara's innocent friend if she even so much as thought about reporting him, you'd think this unscrupulous jerk would have had a seriously brutal and satisfying demise waiting for him that would make the audience stand up and cheer.

This, alas, is not the case.

Instead, Tamara goes strangely easy on him. Cast her mind control spell on him and make him have sex with his friend Patrick she'd also put under her spell and expose that to his girlfriend? Amusing, sure but still awfully lenient compared to what she did to Roger earlier in the film.

Tamara finds out Chloe intends to reveal the love spell she'd used to resurrect herself to Mr. Natolly, the teacher she had a crush on but could never have. She decides to stir up trouble by killing his wife Allison, and she'll have Shawn and Patrick do it for her.

After a chase around the house and into the Natolly's cellar, Allison finds herself cornered by the possessed jocks. She dispatches Patrick first, and obtains a shovel to drive Shawn (who is armed with a butcher's knife) back, but during the fight the spade is broken off. Shawn lunges for her, but is impaled by the broken handle in the process. The wound proves fatal and Shawn dies, leaving the audience with heavy disappointment Tamara(and the movie) did not dispatch him in a much more satisfying and fitting way.
