Boomer Hayes is an American Football hero who ends up working with cop Ed Kelvin to thwart the biggest heist in history: the looting of every home in Beverly Hills. However, things don't look so good for the two of them: both Boomer and Kelvin have been injured, and are lying unconscious in the remains of a store front. Crooked ex-cop Varney is second-in-command to our major villain Robert Masterson, the owner of the football team Boomer plays for. Varney has been ordered by Masterson to finish off Boomer and Kelvin. Talking to Boomer, he says "Looks like you'll live up to your nickname, Boomer." and he sets a time bomb then heads for his truck.
However, Boomer has faked his unconscious state, and has listened to Varney. Waiting for him to leave, Boomer rises to his feet and picks up the bomb. Looking around for a suitable target, he sees Varney's truck pulling away. Now, considering he is an American Football hero, it doesn’t take many guesses to see what is going to happen next: Boomer gives it his best pass, and throws the time bomb (with six seconds left) with unerring accuracy into the back of Varney's truck.
Varney hears a thump in the back of the truck, and turns to see the bomb. He yells "BOOMER!!!!", which turns out to be the last word he ever utters as the bomb goes off, destroying the truck and Varney with it.
Nice job, Mouseburger.
Nice to see you didn't change much from my original writeup. You did get one thing wrong, though: Beverly Hills is spelled wrong (no offense, just a quirk of mine to notice typos).
I have to make a correction to Varney's line though. After seeing the film again, it's "Looks like you'll finally earn that nickname, Boomer."
And Varney is a Baddy (Minor).
Upon wtaching the movie again, it seems that Varney has a first name. Say hello to Oliver Varney.
