Harry is a plainclothes officer with the Metropolis police department. He and his partner, Aramus, tail Lex Luthor's henchman Otis into the subway in the hopes of him leading them to "the big man himself." Somewhat unintelligently, Harry tells Aramus to head back up top to get some backup, while he continues following Otis through the subway tunnels. Otis remains blissfully unaware of Harry's presence throughout, but inside his underground lair, Lex Luthor is watching the entire thing on a big viewscreen via hidden cameras in the tunnels.

Otis enters the lair through a hidden door in the wall, which slides inward. This occurs as a train passes between him and Harry, so that when the train passes the detective has no idea where his quarry has gone. Harry crosses the tracks and begins examining the wall, trying to figure out where the door is, as suddenly a second train approaches. Harry presses himself back against the wall to avoid getting hit. However, he is bang out of luck as, from his lair, Lex Luthor arranges a nasty little surprise for the nosy cop.

The wall suddenly moves outwards, shoving Harry towards the tracks as the train gets closer and closer. Harry fights with all his might, but the stronger piston-powered wall trap wins out, shoving Harry into the path of the speeding train with a scream. Needless to say, Harry is no more. Not long after this, Aramus arrives with the requested backup in the form of some beat cops, unable to raise his partner on the walkie-talkie. They soon realize what happened to him when all they can find of Harry is his crushed hat.
