Princess Leia suffered the ignominy of being chained to Jabba as a slave girl rather well - she must have known that she looked good in that shiny gold bikini. When the opportunity arose though, she was more than willing to choke the life out of her repulsive captor.
One suspects that many in the galaxy would have paid good credits to be killed in such a kinky fashion!
Man, that was hot. You just gotta love that that slimy giant slug was done in by a chick in a metal bikini.
I agree with JD, because Jabba was killed by a chick in a bikini. I think Girls in bikinis are so hot.
I said that I think girls in bikinis are so hot! I also like hot swim-suit models. anywho I love this death, Because Jabba looked like a sick fat ugly stinky slug head.
Just to make things clear, Jabba should be listed as Baddie (minor) for the archetype.
The link doesn't take me anywhere!
I agree with wat both JD and andy had to say bout this death. Jabba getin done by a princess in a bikini, while her brother is figthin low-lifes, is absoultely brilliant. Thankyou George Lucas!!!
there's no achetype. maybe Baddy (Major)?

Author James Kahn would appear to agree with you. His description of the scene in the novelization is....slightly disturbing in its sexiness, talking about how calm, cool, and methodical Leia is in her strangling of Jabba, how she "envisions the chain digging into the folds of his neck," how she strains, grunts and sweats. It's almost as if Kahn couldn't help himself and turned Jabba's death scene into the literary equivalent of a snuff film.
Jabba had it coming.
He sure had it!
Jabba the Hutt is a baddy major. In my book a baddy major can be a secondary villain but they have to be independent, their own boss. While Palpatine is the still the film's main villain Jabba has no connections with the Empire aside from Boba joining forces Vader to get Han. In fact if you watch Episode IV Jabba and the Empire seem to dislike each other since many of the products Jabba makes many off of selling are still illegal (as evidenced by Han dumping said products to evade capture). Jabba is still a baddy major.
It was definitely LIGHTS OUT for that vile gangster.
I really think she used the Force to kill Jabba. I mean, we all know she has the same Force abilities as her brother, she just probably wasn't aware she had it. It would take a helluva lot of strength to pull that chain so tight around his thick neck that it choked him to death.

The novelization, written with the full knowledge that Leia was Luke's sister and thus had Force potential, just says she pulled really hard and strangled him. No mention of a hidden power.
I think it was mostly her anger and disgust that gave her strength and Jabba was so bloated and fat he could barely move to defend himself.
You don't need much strength to choke someone with a chain, especially if they struggle in a way that they choke themselves. The idea is that it gets gradually tighter, and friction stops you from easily loosening it. So, all she really had to do was keep tugging and using her weight on it. This is why using a choke collar even on a rottweiller can be quite cruel if you're not careful...
I think Jabba's clear lack of a Wii Fit console and too much time lying down watching live entertainment also meant he wasn't the most athletic of Star Wars aliens
