Kenny is Gale's [Weathers] camera man. Having just set up a video link to the house where all the teenagers in Woodsboro are having a party, Kenny sits patiently in his camera van watching the teens.

The aim of this is to voyeuristically try and figure out which one of these teens is the killer terrorising the community. For reasons of suspense, and not for any technological hurdles, the video feed is built in with a 30 second delay.

When most of the teens leave the house to go and see their dead principal, Kenny notices the killer is still in the house. Forgetting this feed is on a delay, Kenny rushes out of the van to warn the people still in the house. Unfortunately he runs straight into the killer who has rushed outside to the van. The killer slices Kenny's throat and he dies.
