Sub-Zero is only a threat in one medium. Leave the ice and, like all of us who have made the precarious trip from the rink to toilet on ice skates, you are forced to waddle around like a pregnant duck.
I digress.
Sub-Zero is a great hockey player, and has already swept one of the Runners into the ice hockey goal by the time he faces Richards.
Even Richards, with his peanut-like brain, has worked out that this fellow, once he has got up to speed is going to have trouble stopping quickly. So, as Sub-Zero charges in on Richards preparing for the kill, he fails to spot Richards has ripped down a load of razor wire and set it at head height. It wraps around Sub-zero's neck and the garroting, combined with the slicing of the razor wire, brings an end to Professor Sub-Zero.
Arnie, in top form with his one liners, addresses Killian (q.v.) and the shocked audience saying "Here is Sub-Zero. Now Plain Zero". He later goes on to say "He [Sub-Zero] was a real pain in the neck".
