Only in the dystopic New Detroit can a psychologist build a business case for reforming a drug induced mass murderer and putting him on the police's payroll. This is indeed what happens to Cain, who is being advertised to OCP executives at the next leap forward in cybernetic enforcement droids. Having his behaviour controlled by liberal supplies of his drug of choice, Nuke, Cain appears to be easily managed.
However, things go awry (putting it mildly) when his nemesis, Robocop, shows up during an OCP function and Cain goes on a rampaging killing spree.
Eventually, the fight between Robocop and Cain ends up on the roof of the building, and with the two grappling with each other, they fall over the side and down over 100 storeys. At this point, Robocop has his partner Lewis offer Cain the drugs he is craving, which he ungratefully accepts.
As Cain experiences his high, his guard is lowered, and Robocop leaps on to his back and he rips the protective cover off, exposing the transparent case holding Cain's brain which he manages to rip free of Cain's mechanical body.
Cain looks on in horror as Robocop symbolically raises the brain up in the air, and smashes it on the pavement. Remember kids, drugs will destroy your brain in much the same way!! With this, Cain dies and with no brain to control it, Cain's mechanical body promptly falls over, and OCP officials go into damage control mode.
"Dismemberment", Robo did quite obviously rip Cain's brain out.
"Crushed", Robo did quite obviously crush it on the ground.
The death scene where Robo is crushing the guys brain into the pavement could've been made into one of those "This is your brain..." commercials.
You know - "This is your brain. This is your brain on pavement. Any questions?"
Before all this, when Cain was still human, Robocop causes his truck to crash, and Cain is hospitalized. Then the OCP scientist comes and pulls the plug on the life-support, quietly executing him so OCP will have a "donor" for the Robocop II project. His brain is then removed, brought back to life, and he is resurrected in his mechnaized Robocop II body.
Thanks for posting that Pyro, i think that is a significant part of the tale, and worth adding in to the write up (along with the categories).
Maybe that should be Cain and this should be "Robocop 2"
