Seeing Robocop enter the boardroom, Jones knows that his plot to kill our hero has backfired.
Grabbing a gun from one of the tables (not sure why any boardroom would have a gun in it - i guess that is corporate America for you!), he uses 'The old man' (OCPs boss) as a hostage and demands a helicopter to take him to safety.
Robocop is unable to kill Jones as directive 4, a directive programmed into Robocop's software by Jones, prevents Robocop from harming any OCP executives. Once the old man realises this, he tells Jones he is fired, and elbows Jones in the ribs to break free.
Robocop, with no restrictions on him now, fires a couple of volleys into Jones who falls backwards, crashes through the office window and falls to his death.

Jones gets fired and there is yet another boardroom death (see Mr Kinney (q.v.). the life expectancy of these executives is frighteningly low
His arms are ridiculously long when he is falling out of that window.
haha yes, I've always thought that too!
It was a self-defense mechanism. He tried to turn himself into a cartoon as he fell, and as we all know, only Dip kills 'toons. Unfortunately for Dick, he didn't complete the transformation before he hit the cement.
In real life, I think the old bastard woulda been dead before he crashed through the window.
You need to add Defenestration to this death since nasty ol' Mr. Jones falls to his death out of a window.
That was the same gun used by Mr. Kinney in the ED-209 demonstration earlier. He even takes it out of the same box that it was in earlier (when Jones handed it to Kinney).
