Indiana Jones hears that the Ark has been loaded onto a plane for transportation. Taking Marion with him (for reasons to be determined later), he then proceeds to the landing area, and confronts a German soldier, whom he promptly neutralizes.
As Indy climbs onto the plane to get to the cock-pit and eliminate the pilot, a tall German comes out of a tent, notices him, and removes his shirt. What is revealed is a Jesse-Ventura-like structure of a body. The soldier proceeds to challenge Indy to a traditional bout of fisticuffs fight. As Indy has just run out of bullets, he (possibly in response to his unwillingness to fight the swordsman) accepts. The two engage and Indy is beaten severly. He gets a few shots off, but this does little more than get the German angry and to fill the hits quota given to the hero.
Meanwhile, Marion has taken the cockpit by knocking out the German pilot (with the plane's chocks), who slumps over the controls, causing the plane to go into motion. Marion is unable to stop the vehicle and is accidentally locked into the plane.
Indy is knocked down one more time by his opponent. In a daze, he notices the plane's propellor moving towards him and his would-be killer. The German, challenging Indy to get up again, does not. Indy then realizes what is about to happen, and takes cover. The German, confused by his behaviour, turns to see what's going on. As the German screams in horror (at the very least he screams in a manly way), the camera cuts away to the tailfin of the plane, which after a large, wet, and yet satisfying noise, is splattered with blood.
