The hunt is on for the Predator (alien that has chameleonic armour) who has so far made a load of ultra elite super special forces guys (wow, that is special - ed.) look like a bunch of boy scouts.

Dillon has been chasing after Mac (q.v.), who has a score to settle with the Predator. After spotting a still twiching Mac, Dillon's attention is turned to the trees, where to his amazement, he sees the glowing, luminous eyes of the Predator.

Hastily, Dillion removes his machine gun from his shoulder to fire at the Predator. However, he is too slow. The Predator locks his aim on to Dillon's arm and fires, just as Dillon is releasing the first rounds from his gun. This precision shot frees Mr. Arm from Mr. Torso, and we get a nice camera shot of an arm with a still firing gun attached hitting the ground.

This special effect cost an arm and a leg (leg not shown)

Dillon is in agony but, like the trooper he is, he tries to get the other gun from his shoulder. At this point the Predator has leapt from the trees and is running at Dillon with his "wrist blades" retracted.

Not sure why the Predator has two blades when one would suffice. I suppose it just looks cooler!

These blades are stabbed into Dillon's midriff and the Predator's strength lifts him clear into the air, while Dillon's screams of agony echo throughout the forest.

[bgcolor=red] this death was mint i dunno why they thought it was necessary to have a close up of the arm though.[/bgcolor]

All the deaths for Predator need Monster added.

The Predator was a bit too sophisticated a hunter to count as a generic "monster".

It's just that Monster covers aliens and I've heard The Predator called one of the greatest movie monsters in history. (and such and such)

So are Jason and Freddy. "Movie monsters" is a pretty broad term to the fans.

Even if he does have a code of honour, I still think he's a Monster simply for the fact he's an alien.

Lucy Westenra from Bram Stoker's Dracula has Monster applied because Dracula is considered a monster (in this case, a vampire). He's very sophisticated, but he's still a monster.

Man, as a kid, this scene used to give me nightmares. The arm still firing was a nice special effect...that part was kick ass and that's why I love the Predator's weaponry in these movies.

The scene that really made me shiver was the Predator coming after Dillon as Dillon goes for his other weapon. At first, I thought Dillon might still have a chance, but when the Predator deployed his wrist gauntlet, I'm thinking, 'Aw naw...that can't be good.'

Needless to say, I was right: because as Dillon grits his teeth and tries to draw down on the trophy hunter, the Predator rips through his torso with the blades and lifts him high in the air. To this day, when I see this scene, I can still hear Dillon's screams echoing in my head...really frightening and really suspenseful at the same time. This death scene was cool!
