I don't get it. Just because she is the first villain to die? Or perhaps because she is Quaid's faux-wife?

What about lover?

Well that depends on one's perception of their marriage, I guess. Personally I think anything where a husband kills his wife and vice versa should be counted under Family. But Lori is presumably Quaid's fake wife and actually involved with Richter, so maybe Lover would be more appropriate.

Both work, though.

Martial Arts doesn't count for 'this' and I love Arnold's line after she's shot.

She was either his wife of sister so family of lover.

She was only pretending to be Quaid's wife, she was in fact the girlfriend or wife of Richter. Lover would count, but not Family since the marriage was a sham.
