Interesting to note that on 2-Disc edition of the film in the 'Plot Holes' section is supposedly an explanation as to how the group did it without getting caught. It is clearly false - it claims there were three members (instead of just one, as clearly seen in the film itself) and apparently absailed (!) off the building to avoid getting caught. Clearly nonsensical, but worth noting.

Also, was anyone really grossed out when they first saw this death? Very gruesome.

Actually quite the opposite. I saw this at the theatre and I couldn't stop laughing until my friend elbowed me in the side. It was just so ridiculous I couldn't help it. Plus after Shaun of the dead this wasn't all that gruesome for these guys.
when me and my dad watched this in the cinema i couldnt stop laughing and in fact everyone started clapping for it was s uch a brilliant death

the fact he stumbled around for a few seconds prove he might have still been alive but only for 5 seconds
Yesss, this was gruesome but wonderful. I especially like the little bits of blood that splattered the camera, little break in the 4th wall, just remind us, kids, not to get all damaged and such, its just a movie. But what a movie...

Regarding the archetype of Tim Messenger, George Merchant and the other victims, with the possible exception of Leslie Tiller (who, as a member of the neighborhood watch, had to have been in on the whole thing) should they not be 'Innocent Bystander?' To say nothing of the possibility of adding the 'Pointless' category.

After all, even though their deaths further the plot, the whole idea of the plot twist is that they're totally innocent, their 'crimes' mundane little annoyances for which they did not deserve to die - Angel says it best; These people died for no reason! No reason at all!"

I know 'Innocent Bystander' typically refers on here to characters that have little or nothing to do with the plot, but I'm thinking in terms of the film's world, and, in those terms, all of the victims except Leslie Tiller are in fact completely innocent people, and, save for Tim here (he seemed to have some idea of what was going on), had no idea why they were getting killed. Martin Blower, Eve Draper and George Merchant were just going about their daily lives, harming no one, when unexpectedly some robed lunatic(s) decide to murder them.
