Heh, I don't remember this at all, but look forwards to rewatching the film to see it.

I thought you'd labelled the sequence numbers wrong when I saw who the killer was as well smiling smiley.

That's because you don't see until afterward. winking smiley I'm working on a Wombasi write-up before I see Ultimatum. Except more Bourne submissions in the next day or so.

I think this the best example of a really pointless death. It just makes zero sense.

Actually, I think he killed her, got up the stairs to the roof, and then jumped back. I could be wrong...

If that was the case, why didn't he go through the front door instead of going in through the window? I have to say that Castel is a bit of an idiot, considering that by swinging through the window firing a machine gun, not only is he bypassing subtlety (remember Conklin's boys are hired because they "don't exist" - i.e. sneak up on people) but he's using a method that makes it pretty clear a third party was in the room - "gee, I wonder why there are several holes in the ceiling in addition to the huge number in our two victims... And why is the window broken?"

The more you think about it, the more ridiculous it becomes.

maybe he came in downstairs, killed the concierge, went upstairs, and then realized the easiest way to ambush them was to swing in through an exterior window
