"Transformation", he was twisted into some rather psychofractudelic shapes, maybe "Psi" if the device really was powered by psyche (I don't remember).

Psi doesn't really count. What you might be referring to is the fact that the beam plants images into the victim's head, which results in the body being fried from the inside (hence the resulting transformation).

I think he might be more of an Ambivalent. He may be a superhero, but it's a nasty egotist who only really cares about his sponsorship deals.
