After this scene, the rest of the movie I had felt as if I had just been punched in the gut.

I saw your comment about Wash's death in the movie, and I've beem saying the same thing... "THEY KILLED WASH! THOSE BASTARDS." Saw the movie when it came out. Got the box set of FireFly for christmas and shared it with my wife. She was kind of "ho-hum" about it, but got to like the characters. She hadn't seen the movie. I picked it up last weekend---you should have heard her gasp!

Watched it again on DVD--still hurt! Not to mention Shepherd Book. We were really wanting to know his secret past.

For the record, I believe the correct quote Wash says is, "I am a leaf on the wind - watch how I soar." Not to be fickle or anything, just helping out

Wash was a realy good chater of firefly and serenity. I dont think that they would have killed him off if they let Jain die.

Why did anyone have to die? Book ok i didn't mind too much about that, but not one of the Crew!

They killed old Alan because he's a head ache to work with. He's alway like, "im Alan Tudyk, the most funny guy ever." and on and on with that guy. Anyway, Joss thought it would put him in his place and make it more real. Lets face it, people die in spaceship fire-fights.

Hmm... and here I thought everyone knew that Alan requested the character be killed off...
