Funny thing, when I first saw the film, I actually thought she could be alive. All bones smashed of course, but lucky people used to survive such impacts.
Well, reasonably she didn't, which makes the whole scene a bit unsatisfying and bloodless. It's a slasher movie, not a basher movie.
