This is one of those ironic stories where the hero is the villian. Achillies manages to be the great hero of the story even though it is his army that has invaded the country of Hector. That is what makes the duel so heart wrenching. You know that Hector is bound to fight an unwinable battle because he is the defender and champion of his country. Where is Apollo when you really need him?
Stabbed, Hacked, or Slashed? Asking because I haven't seen Troy, so the exact method of death is a little uncertain to me.

would you really like to know?

It is a film well worth watching, but the method is stabbed and slashed (with a spear). I am sure Old Bluffer will update it when he gets time.

Why the white space below your post, MB?

I think Hector should be listed as Ambivalent (Major). There are no real heroes in this story.

It's somewhat debatable.
This page explains it better than I could: [en.wikipedia.org]

One of the top 5 swordfights on film (along with Westley vs. Montoya and a couple others).

On a related note, need "Impalement" for Menelaus. It's even mentioned in the screencaps chosen by the review.

I notice the main 'hero' Achilles' death is not listed

Does one of those sword fights include Black Knight vs. Green Knight/King Arthur? And do any of them involve Samurai?
