I'd add irony to this. I actually felt sorry for this douche during this scene.

Something I noticed during this death scene that was instead of a tape Boddicker pulled out a video disc of some sort, not a tape and put that in the machine. It was kind of predicting the future in a way back in 1987, seeing how DVDs would eventually overtake video tapes.
