Nah, the Terminator is just a machine. It was designed to survive bullets, lasers and moderate explosions, not industrial presses. The head is hollow after all, and the rest of the skeleton needs to move freely - it doesn't even have an armoured exoskeleton.
It would have been more unbelievable for me if it had survived the crusher. As it was, I liked the fact that the tanker crash and explosion caused noticeable and serious damage.
I also liked that Cyberdyne realised they'd taken old fashioned robotics as far as they could and built the successor with a completely new nanotech design. Now that *could* easily survive an industrial press!
On a tangential and pedantic note, I personally don't think the T-800 is a cyborg, despite what they say in the film. To me, a cyborg is a human that has been augmented by technology. The T-800 by comparison is a completely artificial construct. Yes, he has lab grown skin, but it isn't functional*. So, I would class it as an android.

* OK, they have a contrived technological explanation that time travel is only possible for objects enclosed by living tissue - but Cyberdyne could have easily sent Arnie back accompanied by some hippos with advanced laser-rifles hidden in their abdomens!
