I'd agree with that! Don't forget his first line in the film is 'They should all be destroyed!' when at the Raptor paddock. Man I still quote that line to this day!

In the weapon cabinet and earlier in the movie, they also have M16's. But they never use them effectively, thanks to Spielberg's 'no shooting of dinos' rule that is present in all three movies.

Yeah, I hate that. They do use guns and apparently kill the raptor at the beginning of this movie, though; after Muldoon yells, "Shoot her!" for the zillionth time we hear gunshots. But that's the one time time guns are used at all effectively in these movies.

It's especially annoying in The Lost World, where like fifty armed mercenaries never get a shot off while being attacked by raptors. I just don't buy it.

Don't forget Pete Postlethwaite's character hitting the T-Rex with a tranquilizer gun (off-screen).

Of course, that was after his team ran for the hills like imbeciles after the T-Rex attacks their tent.

Yeah, and as I said, most of those guys had guns, they could have easily just shot and killed the damn thing. Dunno why Ludlow would bring along such skittish mercenaries.

Incidentally, OT in Muldoon's thread, but I just wanna point out that supposed "good guy" Nick took the bullets out of Roland's (Pete Postlethwaite's character) gun, meaning that the deaths of Burke, Carter, Ajay and every single mercenary chased into the tall grass rest squarely on Nick's hands.

Sadly, it is. Because Nick took the bullets out of Roland's gun, Roland was unable to immediately kill the rexes, and had to fumble for an alternative weapon (the tranq gun) while one of the dinosaurs chased (almost) everyone to their deaths. So if Nick hadn't done this, then Roland, the only one who kept his head during the attack, could have saved everybody or at least some of them. I don't think this makes Nick evil at all, he just didn't know the eventual outcome of his actions.

Now, go watch the movie again and learn to spell.

I agree, although I'm inclined to think Nick is evil.
