Here is my hellacious (Not HILARIOUS spell-check, quite the opposite thank you!) situation -

* I have a Polaroid DVD player
* I have no screen grabbing software
* I have windows media player and Real player
* Print screen does not work (the pasted picture clicks off as soon as the player does)
* Fright Night is not as good without Billy Cole's slimy skull (I know, I had to live with the TV version for a long time)

Am I helpable? (palpable? eww...) Or am I screwed? (Or maybe do you have to supply the screenshots)

Hi Mr Briggs - the software I use is powerDVD, it is great at making grabs. This is usually supplied preinstalled on the computer.

there are a variety of other players that allow grabs i would imagine - have you checked sourceforge.net??

Why don't you get a polaroid camera and take photos of your screen while the DVD is paused? You could then send them off to a photo lab to get them scanned winking smiley.

But then we are faced with the obvious quality problem.

Why don't you just register?
Because it is only as of yesterday that I have an E-mail account (A mixture of procrastination and identity theft paranoia, also, I really don't see the necessity) which keeps giving me B.S. about why I can't log in, some crap about 24 hours until my account is activated, just about the same thing at this place. Also about my account, I registered, but now I can't post as a guest, I have to be Mr. Brigg's Ink now to prevent grammar errors.

What are you on about?
There is no 24 hour account activation, and once you're logged in you stay logged in forever on that PC. If you forget your password you just click "I've forgotten my password" - where is the difficulty in that?

Registering is to be encouraged, as you can edit your posts and we can easily send you private messages.

Also, as we develop the site, certain features will work better for registered forum members (we may tie your favourite MDDB settings into your forum account for example).
Finally, once the "rate this death" feature is finished, you will have to register in order to use it (to prevent multiple votes).

How embarrassing, I feel like kicking myself, in fact, (12 seconds later, Mr. Briggs Dies) How do I change the E-mail address on my account? I typed the wrong one in.
