Snakes on a Plane (here be mild spoilers)

I have just been to see this, and i have to admit it really was highly entertainingand a good cinematic experience. It was clear from the outset that all the actors and crew enjoyed making this movie. Please do not mistake this for me saying that this is an early candidate to sweep the board at next years Oscars - it absolutely won't, but it was great for going back to basics and producing a film with some entertaining dialogue and a piss easy plot to follow (it is just a load of snakes on a plane!). It has to go down as one of the most contrived assassination attempts in cinematic history too, but i think this is what adds to the fun.

Character development was actually pretty good too, particularly the obnoxious English fellow who feeds the dog belonging to the blonde bimbo (yes, she does have a name but i prefer to describe them by the stereotype they represent) to the python. Of course the person that steals the show is Samuel L Jackson - he has such a great presence, and it is only he that could deliver the line "I've had it with these mother****ing snakes on this mother****ing plane!" with such gravitas that you actually momentarily believe this scenario is a possibility (ok, maybe not!!).

When i first went into the cinema to watch it, i was fully expecting there to be deaths which fit the categories "animal" and "poison". However, there was a plethora of other categories too, such as "devoured", "self sacrifice" and "tempting fate", which i was pleasantly surprised at. It is surpising at how many different parts of the human body manage to get bitten; a nipple, a penis (check the toilet bowl before you get your family jewels out chaps!), an eye and an arse, to name but a few of the more exotic places.

I do recommend people go and see this film, not for the high brow themes it covers, but purely for the couple of hours of mindless fun you will have. Oh, i really enjoyed the music video at the end too.

not bad for a few days after release, i agreee it was worthy of about an 8/10 in my eyes, and i am usually quite stingy with my scoring!

well, i tihnk i would agree it was better than most of those, although i do think Halloween is very lowly placed. i dare say though it has had about 10 times as many votes as SoaP.

i watched a movie talk about snake on the plan , it's pretty cool but i 4got the name
