Favorite movie villains?
August 03, 2010 08:23PM
Hey everyone, I'm trying to come up with a list on another site that will rank my top 125 favorite movie villains of all time. (Why 125? Because I like to put it 100 and a quarter percent effort.) Unfortunately I'm short a few so if anyone could post a few, I'd be grateful.

Here's who I have so far:

Definately:

Archibald Cunningham (Rob Roy)
The Joker (Batman and The Dark Knight)
Alec Trevelyan (Goldeneye)
Colonel Hans Landa (Inglorious Bastards)
Sweeney Todd (Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber From Fleet Street)
Auric Goldfinger (Goldfinger)
Emilio Largo (Thunderball)
Dr. No (Dr. No)
Judge Claude Frollo (The Hunchback of Notre Dame)
Scar (The Lion King)
Michael Myers (Halloween)
Davy Jones (Pirates of the Caribbean)
Saruman the White (Lord of the Rings)
Norman Bates (Psycho)
Darth Vader (you know who he is)
Emperor Palpatine (Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith is where he truly shined IMO)
Grand Moff Tarkin (Star Wars: the original one)
King Edward Longshanks (Braveheart)
Bill (Kill Bill)
The Terminator (Terminator)
The T-1000 (Terminator 2: Judgment Day)
Cal Hockley (Titanic)
Hans Gruber (Die Hard)
Simon Gruber (Die Hard With A Vengeance)
Mal (Inception)
Spider (Gran Torino)
Fernand Mondego (The Count of Monte Cristo)
Michael Corleone (The Godfather trilogy)
Virgil Solozzo (The Godfather)
Hyman Roth (The Godfather: Part II)
Tony Montana (Scarface)
Dr. Octopus (Spider-Man 2)
Gollum (Lord of the Rings: Return of the King)
Mr. Potter (It's A Wonderful Life)
The Wicked Witch of the West (for sheer nostalgia value)
General Hummel (The Rock)
Warden Samuel Norton (The Shawshank Redemption)
Jenner (The Secret of NIMH)
Al Capone (The Untouchables)
The Shark (Jaws)

Maybe:

Dick Jones (Robocop)
The Wicked Stepmother (Cinderella)
Carnegie (The Book of Eli)
Franz Sanchez (Licence to Kill)
Walter Donovan (Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade)
Obadiah Stane (Iron Man)
Thulsa Doom (Conan the Barbarian)
Bobby Maxwell (Dirty Harry: The Enforcer)
King Louis XIV (The Man in the Iron Mask)
Colonel Quaritch (Avatar)

So feel free to add anyone and say who on the maybe list should or shouldn't go into the list itself.

How about Bill the Butcher from Gangs of New York? He's certainly a contender for #1. Or Xur from The Last Starfighter(because his hair and voice were awesome winking smiley) Or Count Rugen from the Princess Bride. And where the hell is Dracula on this list?

Keep in mind that the above list was about a year ago so I haven't seen Dracula yet. And Bill the Butcher is definitely in the top 30 (although as far as awesome villains played by Daniel Day-Lewis go, I preferred Daniel Plainview :burp:)
Okay;here's my list of fave villians:
(1)Alonzo Harris(Denzel Washington)"Training Day".
Denzel's potrayal of a crooked cop's crooked cop was a 360 degree opposite
of his usual good guy roles!!:amazed::crying:
Notable scene is when he gets his new partner(Ethan Hawke)drunk and leaves him
to die at the hands of a family of Mexican Gangbangers because they thought he raped the
leader's teenaged cousin!!::amazed::fingersup:

Notable scene#2:Jake Hoyt tracks down Alonzo Harris in the middle of LA's most notorious slums
to murder him.
Denzel dares him and any gangbanger to kill him,but no one dares to.
He then hollers"MOTHER F***ER,I'M BAD!!KING KONG AIN'T GOT SH!T ON ME!!".
Death Scenegrinning smileyenzel's sitting at a red light when the Russian Mobsters pull up alongside him
and turn him into a human swiss cheese!!!:archer::armed::thumbsdown:

(2)Doyle Hargreaves(Dwight Yoakum)"Sling Blade".
Karl Childers is released from"The Nervous Hospital"and returns to his old hometown in Arkansas
where he befriends a young widow and her son as well as the gay guy(John Ritter)who runs the town dime store.smiling smiley
He incurs the wrath of Doyle Hargreaves, her hubby and stepfather to her son(Lucas Black).:crying:

After he has a run in with him at a party where Doyle Hargreaves tells everybody"GET THE IFYOUSEEKAY OUTA MY HOUSE!!
ESPECIALLY CORKSOAKERS AND RETARDS!!",Karl goes home;sharpens up a mower blade and confronts him by telling him
"STAND UP!!UH HUM!!I RECKON I'M GONNA KILL YOU!!UHHMM!!",then busts his skill in two with the mower blade!!:faceoff::armed:
After he kills him,Karl calmly picks up the phone and asks the operator if this is the number for 911.
When she says yes,he tells her"You better send an ambulance or a hearse, uhhmm!!I done kilt Doyle Hargeaves!!UhHmm!!"
then calmly sits down and eats a sandwich while he waits for the authoritiers!!:guilty:
