Film24 have asked us to promote their upcoming competition. They've also offered us a free copy of Splinter - note to other companies, we are extremely cheap to bribe! Sadly the promised DVD hasn't turned up yet, but if it does we'll review it for the site too.

Budding film makers, gather round and welcome to the first of Film24's 30-second film competitions. We need you to scare us and we need you to do it within half a minute. To celebrate the release of the award-winning, fast paced, edgy horror film Splinter the lovely people at Icon Home Entertainment have given us a camcorder, a DVD player and a host of dvds and blu-ray discs to give away! Think you can make us jump enough to win?
