Got any Casino Royale deaths left, Countess? I just got the DVD today and may help.

EDIT: If you live in the US, I may have to re-submit Obanno's death as it is cut for a PG-13 rating in the States (but uncut everywhere else).

Now that I think about it, I can't actually remember if I DID submit the Joker's flashback death or not in Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker, or if I accidentally closed the window when I was doing it, so I'm gonna (re?)send it. If I *did* in fact send it, then ignore it unless you think it's a better write-up. I'll also send in his "present day" death as well.

Sorry, I've been busy lately, so I haven't submitted anymore Casino Royale deaths yet, but I'm writing up Vesper right now. I do live in the U.S, though. They edited Obanno's death in the American release? That's not cool... I haven't submitted him yet. Care to pm me the uncut description of his death? if only so that I know how he actually dies.

*thinks* I can't imagine what they could have cut that would have made it R. Oh well.

"You know, I never understood these elaborate tortures. It's the simplest thing to cause more pain than a man can possibly endure. And of course, it's not only the immediate agony, but the knowledge that if you do not yield soon enough, there will be little left to identify you as a man. The only question remains, will you yield in time?" - Le Chiffre, Casino Royale

Reportedly, here's the cuts made to that scene:
- We see Obanno's bodyguard actually hit the ground. (this is cut between Obanno attacking with the blade)
- Soon after, Obanno is pushed into the window, which shatters.
- Obanno grabs Vespers leg moments later.
- Obanno reaching for his gun is longer in non-US versions.
- In the U.S. version, Obanno's legs are seen struggling and then it cuts to Vesper before going back to the legs. Non-U.S. versions do not have the shot broken by Vesper. The shot of frightened Vesper actually comes after the struggling legs shot.

In the pre-title sequence...
- Fisher being kicked a second time before it cuts to Dryden is removed.
- A low close-up of Fisher screaming and struggling as he is being dragged to the sink is cut.
- In international versions, there is a second close-up of Fisher in the sink, weakening. The U.S. version replaces this with a shot of Fisher's legs.

Well, gosh those aren't major. Why couldn't they just keep that in there? It doesn't make sense. They take out all that and leave the torture scene intact? I've seen worse stuff than all that in other PG-13 movies here in America. Grrr... MPAA is so stupidly nitpicky about the most retarded things...
Ah well.

The UK version has a few cuts in the torture scene, so I can't gloat much.

Oh, something crossed my mind when I noticed the lack of Dog Soldiers deaths; I'd submitted Captain Ryan awhile back, not sure when, though it hasn't shown up yet.

Ryan was such an asshole, I was glad to see him go.

Sheriff Frank Kelly and Deputy Brent Frye from Gremlins.

"Frank, I really think we should go now. Frank, Frank, why don't you start the car, 'cause I'd really like to go back to the station now."

I take special pride in finding out their surnames, which I got from scrutinizing their nametags.

Koosh, I thought you were waiting for site catch-up? Not that I mind, because now I'm not the only one submitting and your write-ups are usually better than mine.

I did a similar thing regarding Austin Powers - I learnt the name of the steamrollered guard. (which I've now forgotten)
