The Gremlins' tolerance of light, or lack thereof, seems to come and go depending on the needs of the script. For instance as you pointed out in Gremlins 2, Daffy, George, and Lenny seem to have no problems with the bright stage lights, nor are any of the Gremlins in the lab affected by the light that pours in through the torn blinds when the bat-Gremlin smashes through the window. (The explanation for the latter case appears to be that only direct sunlight actually touching them will kill them, but there appears to be no excuse for the stage lights thing.)

Not to mention the whole "Gizmo runs into direct sunlight" bit at the very start of the sequel.

It was overcast when Gizmo fled the shop, so he may have been safe then.

In the kitchen show scene, George, Lenny, and Daffy had caused the stage lights to dim a little before they attacked (or otherwise may not have been looking at them).

The native I can see, but as for the minor crew member guys, well, unless they have really spectacular deaths I'm usually against adding minor nameless characters, especially ones who die in droves.

Like, do we want to add every Stormtrooper in Star Wars?
