Barillo is the crime lord who has undergone plastic surgery to change his identity in order to try and depose the incumbent El Presidente. Mid-operation Barillo is forced to escape from the hospital with his head swathed in bandages.

During a failed coup d'etat by Marquez (q.v.), Barillo and his cronies enter the presidential palace in search of the president. It is here they meet the bloodied corpse of Marquez. Kicking the corpse in frustration, Barillo continues to search the room for the President when Billy (Barillo's henchman) enters and introduces Jorge, an ex-FBI agent.

Jorge explains to Barillo that years ago he killed, his partner and because of that Jorge is here to kill him. Barillo looks at Billy expecting help, but none seems to be forthcoming. Barillo orders the henchmen at his side to fire and a gunfight ensues. In the fracas, Barillo gets shot and falls to the ground, but manages to get up again, only to be shot to the ground by Jorge once again. He rises for the third time, but this time El Mariachi appears and shoot him with his shotgun. This shot blasts him out of the room and he falls over the presidential balcony and gets splashed on to the street below.
