Rosie Carver is the local operative helping Bond to uncover Kananga's (q.v.) heroin plantation. Luck is with Bond, as Solitaire, a tarot reader (and the film's eye candy), has sent Bond a tarot card warning him that Rosie is not to be trusted.
Before reaching the summit of the hill, Bond decides to stop off for a bite to eat in a nice glade. When he and Rosie are settled, Bond rips off Rosie's bra and gets her in a stranglehold. He reveals that she is a traitor and asks Rosie what is up on the hill. Rosie quickly realises she is caught between a rock and a hard place as Bond draws his gun and tells her if she does not tell him what is in the hills he will kill her.
Rosie starts crying when she sees one of the menacing voodoo scarecrows (used to keep islanders away from the hill) looking at her. Bond gets distracted and Rosie makes a run for it. She runs past a scarecrow, whose mouth opens to reveal a gun barrel (with silencer) and it shoots Rosie in the back.
so what do you think of that scarecrow it's just an act.
it's not an act it's real.
you better start talking.
huhuhuhuh ah AAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH!
