After discovering the mysterious woman Amalthea is the Unicorn, King Haggard sends his fiery demonic servent, the Red Bull, into the caves below his castle to deal with her and the others.
The Bull chases them through the caves, and eventually corners Amalthea. Prince Lir's attempts to fight off the Bull prove fruitless when the beast sets his arm on fire. Schmendrick, meanwhile, uses his magic to undo the spell he'd used to make the unicorn human and returns her back to her true form. The Bull immediately takes full interest in her and chases her outside, towards the seashore, where the other unicorns have been herded into the ocean long ago. Realizing what is happening, the Unicorn runs around the Bull and past him, trying to avoid a similar fate, and the Bull gives chase again.
Prince Lir intervenes at this moment, throwing himself between the Unicorn and the Bull, but the Bull responds by trampling over him. Seeing the man she'd once loved die, new resolve comes over the Unicorn and she immediately turns and confronts the Bull head-on.
The Red Bull has always been instructed to drive, conquer, and capture, but never to fight a unicorn. Unable to act, the Red Bull begins to back away, driven towards the sea by the Unicorn till he treads into the water. Realizing he has lost, the Red Bull turns and enters the ocean.
At this moment, the ocean grows increasingly violent, huge waves build up, and countless unicorns appear within the waves, realizing their captor has been defeated. Seconds later, the massive waves engulf the Red Bull and destroy him.
Woah, wait a second! The Red Bull is driven into the sea--there's no evidence that he is *killed*! Just as the unicorns that were driven into the sea didn't die (and later escaped) the Red Bull doesn't die (as far as we know) , and will probably leave the sea one day, after a period of confusion following the death of his (most recent?) master.
