Timmons is a member of the Petrox Explorer's crew, and one of the four sailors who accompanies Jack Prescott and Carnahan (q.v.) on their mission to rescue Dwan from the giant gorilla, Kong.

During the scene where the group crosses the log bridge, Kong appears and, after being provoked by the sailors’ gunfire, Kong stomps over and begins to roll the log back and forth, rolling the men off and into the canyon one by one. Timmons is the second to die. He slides off the log but manages to grab hold of a stumpy branch and hangs on for dear life. But this doesn't save him for long. All the shaking and jerking makes Timmons lose his grip and he drops down into the canyon to his death.

The guys on the log had NAMES!!??

Any-who, this is my favorite version of King Kong, as it is not only edgier but King Kong looks neither like a video game, nor a cartoon piece of jerky.

I like how you can see a river on the bottom, therefor implying that if he misses the rocky edges, he's gonna drown. :-D!
Comment 4 by 'Mr. Briggs Incorporated' (reply to this comment)
I believe more rocks on the bottom would be considerably deadlier!

They wouldn't drown, they'd hit the bottom of the riverbed and die, or get killed by the monsters that appear int he new one's chasm....
Comment 6 by 'Matt' (reply to this comment)
Or die from the impact of hitting the water.

yeah, I think drowning would be suitable
