Fritz is Henry Frankenstein's hunchbacked lab assistant, who helps him create the patchwork Monster. For reasons best known to himself, following the Monster's creation Fritz takes sadistic pleasure in pestering the poor creature with a lit torch and a bullwhip, often against Henry's wishes. This eventually comes back to bite him in the arse.

Following one of the Monster's latest Fritz-induced temper tantrums, Fritz goes down into the dungeon cell where he is chained up and begins prodding him with a torch and giggling maniacally. We then cut to a short time later and, upstairs in the laboratory Henry and Dr. Waldman (q.v.) are doing science type stuff when they hear Fritz's screams coming from downstairs.

Realizing something is amiss, they charge down the stairs and into the dungeon to find that the Monster has broken his chains and killed Fritz by, erm... well it's never really said. He appears to be hanging from the wall, so I'll venture a guess and say the Monster hung Fritz with his own whip, which is fitting.
