After King Arthur orders his subjects to fight for Camelot to the bitter end, a massive battle between rogue knight Malagant's forces and the peasants and knights of Camelot escalates. Arthur is wounded and is taken away to be tended to, leaving Lancelot fighting off a number of Malagant's warriors until he finally comes face to face with Arthur's treacherous former knight, and the two immediately begin a vicious one-on-one swordfight.
Having been a former Knight of the Round Table, and having conquered several places in England, Malagant is a highly skilled swordsman and a dangerous foe. The two appear evenly matched, and with the fight going on around them, Lancelot is constantly warding off attacks from other enemies between trading blows with him. Going for a cheap shot, Malagant suddenly stabs Lancelot while he is distracted helping another knight. Lancelot, attempting to ignore his wound and fight him off, begins to grow progressively weaker, unable to stand up to Malagant any longer. Finally, Malagant disarms him and prepares to finish him off.
Lancelot spots Excalibur nearby, though, Arthur having dropped it when he was attacked. Grabbing it, Lancelot gets back up with newfound resolve and takes the offensive in full force, striking at Malagant with a flurry of blows until he can no longer keep up with him, allowing Lancelot to disarm him directly in front of King Arthur's empty throne.
Malagant can only stare in disbelief at this as Lancelot plunges Excalibur into his chest. Then with a second blow, Lancelot slashes the evil tyrant's neck open, and with a third, knocks him into the very throne Malagant intended to usurp, where he dies seconds later.
