Franco, along with Fritz is nearly always seen with the 2IC of the group and fellow terrorist, Karl.
He, along with Fritz have spent countless bullets trying to penetrate John's character shield but to no joy.
He is gutsy and smart, almost taking out John earlier on the rooftop and had the sense to stick around behind the wall rather than jumping into the open and have his midriff turned into Swiss cheese like his recently departed comrade, Fritz.
John after sprinting like mad, has been forced into an compromising location thanks to Karl quickly pinning him down with a near-miss shot. While Karl has John pinned down and unable to move, Franco tries to find a suitable location also but makes the mistake of not assessing the current situation and runs ahead of Karl which leaves him in an open space. John gets a quick brainwave and from his position shoots through a glass panel, rendering Franco's kneecaps close to non-existent.
Like all of the other baddies in previous and present movies who have been kneecapped he is quickly subdued. But what makes our fine French friend here unique is that he was already running when he was capped in the legs which therefore grants him serious Hollywood slow-mo airtime and sends him flying into an office window head first.
Why he didn't think of using his hands to stop himself rather than using his head has left many stumped since.
Should crash qualify since the thing that killed Franco was the fact that he crashed into a glass window?
Actually I think that should be marked down for "Unique". We don't see many deaths like that.
