Mr Wynt and his - ahem - gentleman friend, Mr Kidd (q.v.) has merrily killed many people throughout the film who have come in to contact with the diamonds. It is unclear who has hired them, or maybe they have their own agenda.
Anyway, Mr Wynt's demise at the hands of Bond comes in the form of a fight over food. Bond eventually manages to pull Mr Wynt's jacket between his legs, lift it up rather sharply giving Mr Wynt the wedgie of his life (something that Mr Wynt seemed to enjoy), ties the bomb that was hidden in the cake to Mr Wynt's jacket and somersaults him off of the boat.

Mr Wynt receives a wedgie (much to his delight), has a bomb tied to his shirt tail and performs a perfect pike manoeuvre as he disembarks the ship
Mr Wynt does not even get the luxury of hitting the water before the bomb detonates and sprays the steerage windows with his entrails.
Mr Wynt goes out with a bang
it be a huge help to me if he happened to be Baddy (Minor).
Shouldn't this also be falling? He did fall off the Edge right?
He didn't really get a chance to fall before he was blown to smithereens.
In your defense though, I will say that the results would have been disastrous had Bond let Wynt stay aboard, the bomb would have killed all three of them! Also, without falling, bomb-wedgie combo doesn't really apply, as the wedgie didn't kill him, it just made him fall!
WhoOOOoooOOO!
He is killed by his own bomb. "Own weapon"?
Really just "Backfired death-trap"
I just saw this movie last night, and I would have to say they were much more evil than Blofeld. In my opinion, they should be listed as Baddy (Major) but thta's just my opinion. I'm sure alot of you guys disagree with me.
They were plenty wicked allright, but their part in the film was relatively minor. Basically just the fact that their death was put as the "surpr'ee'se comeback at the end" says that the movie could've theoretically ended without their deaths. And if you look at MouseBurger's explanation for archetypes here, it tells you that baddie (major)s are those that the movie has to kill off before finishing properly.
I suppose main henchmen like these guys could count, but it could work either way.
That's a great point, Mr. Briggs. I now understand why they're not listed as majors. Thanks.
According to the credits (and the various James Bond criteria I own due to the fact that I'm a huge fan of the franchise) the character's name is spelled as Mr. Wint with an 'i', not a 'y'.
Shouldn't it also be "Own Weapon"? It was his own cake bomb.
