"Let off some steam"

That is the line you absolutely, positively have to deliver when you javelin your opponent into an electricity generator with a section of steam pipe. How events built up to that point is immaterial.

Great Death website, and although I feel 'Let off steam, Bennett' does fully justify the page, enough is not said. A mention of Vernon Wells a.k.a Bennett creaming his pants, shouting 'John' and 'I don't need the girl!' whilst holding the knife two handed (in finger-hole less gloves) and his crap, rather camp fat ass body in piss-ant chainmail do all deserve a shout. FACT.

Although Bennett looks like 'Freddy Mercury on steroids' (real quote from Vernon Wells), he is still my one true hero and I love him.

Projectile, anyone?

Not "Electricity" anyone?

Bennett gets fried by an electricity generator before he dies, so that does count. Even if it had a reversal effort of what happens to humans - it made him stronger.

Yes, i think this now qualifies for inclusion as "projectile", have amended it.

I've always wondered why steam is still coming out of the broken pipe after it sticks in Bennett. Curious.
Comment 8 by 'Mr. Briggs Inc.' (reply to this comment)
It hit another pipe I guess.

Edit: Yes, after checking the screenshots, there is a heater of some sort behind him.

How could you forget One-On-One?

The new DVD has a bit in the deleted scenes section showing alternate one-liners for Bennett's demise. The bit starts with the classic "Let off some steam, Bennett." before we get to the alternates.

The unused ones are:
-"I hate small talk."
-"I think it was too much pressure for you, Bennett."
-"Can't take the pressure, Bennett, huh?"

My reaction? Nothing can top the one they used.

Wow, those are pretty bad. I'll go with Let Off

How come Bennett is listed as a Major Baddy. If memory serves correctly he's an underling of El Presidente Arius who's the film's main villain, Bennett is his second-in-command/bodyguard. Some people are bound to reply that it's because "he's the one Matrix has a final battle with," well that ain't going to cut it. Out of the 20 Bond movies in about half of them Bond kills the main villain then takes on one of his henchmen later on. For example in Live And Let Die, Dr. Kananga is clearly the main villain but Bond's final bout is with Tee Hee who's clearly a henchman. Same rules apply here (although I do admit that the movie would have sat well better if Arius ended up being Bennett's political puppet due to Bennett being a much better villain in my opinion).
