Dying from a disease usually has various unpleasant symptoms to prolong the victim's torment, and is therefore definitely a category one wouldn't want to qualify for. After all, being decapitated by an axe is a far cooler way to go than being slowly consumed by the Ebola virus.
From a film making point of view therefore, using Disease can be quite dramatic. It only works properly though if the audience is properly briefed on just how horrible the disease is, so expect some kind of explanatory dialogue before someone gets infected.
