Being killed is all the more bitter when your killer turns out to be a back-stabbing ally!

Note that this category is subtly different from Former Friends. Here, the characters involved are allied together by circumstance or duty, rather than any genuine affection or friendship.

We also don't tend to apply this category if the victim already knows from earlier on that their ally betrayed them. In other words, only if the person killed could recently have thought that their killer was "on their side" will they qualify for the category.

The icon for this category is supposed to represent Judas' thirty pieces of silver. We couldn't fit a laurel wreathed Caesar getting stabbed in the back by Brutus unfortunately.
